White balance settings

Janis Whitcomb (Yahoo!, FZ10 group, 26th May 2005)...

(In response to the question `Does anyone use WB presets and custom WB on regular basis?')

Only indoors and with my model horses because of the yellowing from lamplight. I click the shutter against a white piece of paper under that light and keep that setting.

I quit using `cloudy', etc. or warm or cool settings. I just get too much yellow on cloudy. I've dialed in red on purpose, though, when flowers I was shooting were not coming out red enough. However, since it tones the whole picture, I don't like it.
